Shaunna considers her journey to Kindermusik a calling. It all started with Kindermusik and has come full-circle. In the mid 1980’s, Shaunna’s musical foundation was laid by the Kindermusik Program. She enjoyed two wonderful years of Kindermusik before venturing on to take piano lessons. Kindermusik laid a positive, rock-solid foundation which continues to serve Shaunna to this day. She has 25 years behind a piano; close to 10 with the saxophone; university instrumental and vocal training. She re-discovered the Kindermusik program with her daughter, who was a year old at the time, and felt that this was the direction she was being led to pursue.
Trained as an Intermediate English Teacher, Shaunna currently holds a B.A. in English, as well as her B.Ed. and a valid Ontario Teacher’s Certificate. After her university graduation and marriage, she enjoyed 3 wonderful years teaching Grades 7 & 8 and one amazing year as an English & Literacy Consultant for her school board in Quebec. After the birth of her daughter and a move to Ontario, Shaunna’s business “Little Maestro Studio” officially opened in September of 2010.
Shaunna lives in Thorold, Ontario (Niagara Region) with her husband Ken, 3 year old daughter, Jessie and son, Ben, born July of 2011. Her interests include reading, fishing, camping, hiking, travelling and visiting family in Northwestern Ontario and Prince Edward Island.
Lauren Stradwick, H.B.Sc. B.Ed. OCT
Licensed Kindermusik Educator
Lauren has always had a love for both teaching and music. She was raised in a family of educators and naturally felt directed down the same path. Throughout her academic career Lauren has been a member of several choirs as well as studied both piano and clarinet.
In the spring of 2011, Lauren completed the requirements of the Brock University Teacher Education Program and is now an Ontario Certified Teacher. As well, she has been working with Little Maestro Studio since January 2011 as a Licensed Kindermusik Educator.
In her spare time, Lauren runs a successful tutoring business, providing one on one instruction to children of all ages to help them to excel in all areas of their academic lives. She has over 16 years of experience working with children of all ages as well as children with special needs and learning disabilities.
At home in St. Catharines, Lauren and her husband Jason are parents to Bella, their adorable 2yr old daughter.
Lauren loves watching her students learn and grow through their Kindermusik experience and is looking forward to yet another wonderful session with Little Maestro Studio in the Fall of 2011.
